2021 event a great success
This was the 17th successfully running of this classic event on 18 April 2021. It's been run each year since 2004 with the exception of last year when Covid got in the way.
This year was a great day for riding - a cool start of about 6 degrees and then no more than 18 degrees during the day and, importantly, very little wind (4 to 15 km/h).
There were 272 entrants (241 registered on-line and 31 did so at the start). Of those some 124 were first time rides in the event.
Nearly all the riders road the six peaks - Stromlo, Red Hill, Mount Pleasant, Ainslie, Black Mountain and the Arboretum.
The Club thanks all the volunteers who assisted with the event on the day including the Auroa Gungahlin Rotary Club members who set up and ran the two food stops that were appreciated by the riders.
It will be on again next year on a date to be announced.
